Christina Frances Hair McLeod, 52, passed away on October 6, 2026 at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Cumberland County on October 12, 1973. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sarah Frances Hair Clark; brother, James Hair; and sister, Teresa Hair Hart.

Christina is survived by her loving husband, Chris McLeod; son, Christopher McLeod (fiancée, Tiffany); daughter, Crystal McLeod (fiancé, Austin); and grandchildren, Hunter, Paris, and Remington.

More than anything else in this world, Christina loved her family. She was a devoted stay-at-home mother whose love and care extended far beyond her own family. To many, she was “Mom”—the kind of woman who welcomed you in, loved you like her own, and wasn’t afraid to keep you in line when you needed it. She didn’t always have to say a word; one look from her was usually all it took to make you straighten right up. Beneath that look was a heart full of love, and everyone knew it.

Her heart was pure golden … she’d do anything to make anyone happy before herself. And her grand baby was her world – her sunshine!

Christina found peace in nature. She was just as happy feeling the sand between her toes at the beach as she was breathing in the fresh, crisp air up in the mountains. It’s impossible to think of Christina without thinking of the color purple—and she had a special love for purple hydrangeas.

Christina simply loved people. She didn't believe in strangers and had this incredible gift for making everyone feel seen, valued, and deeply loved. That warmth extended to her community and her beloved church, Savannah Hill PFWB Church.

She will be greatly missed, but her love is going to live on in all of us forever. She left us with a lifetime of beautiful memories and love that could fill an ocean. We take comfort that she can now enjoy one of her favorite healthy teas (southern paradise) while in paradise.

The family will receive friends at Savannah Hill PFWB Church, 2176 Savannah Hill Rd, Dunn, NC on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 from 10:00 – 10:45 am with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Colliers Chapel Church Cemetery, 9377 Colliers Chapel Road (SR 1609) Linden, NC where Christina will be laid to rest beside her mother.
