Chris John Petersen, 48, of Broadway, NC passed away Thursday April 28, 2022, at Duke Raleigh Hospital in Raleigh, NC.

He was born February 13, 1974, in Plantation, FL to Elaine Marie Everett Petersen and John Joseph Petersen, Jr. Chris was preceded in death by his father, John and his brother, Charles Everett Petersen.

Chris loved working on cars and helping others repair their vehicles. He was very passionate about motorcycles and enjoyed working outdoors. Chris loved taking rides down the coast on his Harley with his wife, Susan.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan Greener Gieder; his daughter, Rachel Petersen; his stepdaughter, Ashley Gieder; his stepsons, Richard Gieder and wife, Megan, Brian Gieder and wife, Nicole, and Timothy Gieder and wife, Marina; his mother, Elaine Everett Petersen; his sister, Caren Petersen Storer and husband, David; his nephew, Jakob Storer; and his niece, Megan Storer.
