Charlotte Lewis Sexton, 76 of Lillington, died Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital in Dunn.

A native of Harnett County, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Grace Wood Lewis. She graduated from Lafayette High School, class of 1952, and was a member of Pleasant Union Christian Church. Charlotte was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend and will be missed by all those that loved her.

A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, November 20 at 11:00 am at Pleasant Union Christian Church. The Rev. Terry Beatty will officate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

A visitation will be held Friday at O'Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 pm and other times at her home.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Tommy Sexton; sons, David Sexton and wife Patty of Lillington, Steve Sexton of Fuquay-Varina and Rick Sexton and wife Dell of Wake Forest; two grandchildren, Tyler and Monica Sexton; a brother, Jimmy Lewis and wife Betty of Fuquay-Varina; sister, Patricia Smedley and husband Stan of Cary; and several nieces and nephews.
