Obituary

Charles Caswell "Cack" Johnson, 93 of Lillington died Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Green Leaf Care Center.

Cack was born March 8, 1923 in Harnett County to the late Cleveland and Minnie Matthews Johnson. He was preceded in death by three brothers; four sisters; and a grandson.

Cack was a lifetime member of Neill's Creek Baptist Church and also a lifetime farmer. He helped build Keith Hills Golf Course and stayed on as a greens keeper at Campbell University until he retired. He always said his full time job was Fox Hunting. His greatest devotion was to his wife, he did her laundry and brought her Ensure everyday. He enjoyed getting out and meeting and talking to people.

Cack is survived by his wife of 74 years, Ellen Campbell Johnson; a son, Marshall Johnson and wife Beverly of Lillington; a daughter, Barbara Johnson Turner of Statesville; 3 grandchildren, Scott Johnson and wife Cindy of Lillington, Mark Turner and wife Michele of Charlotte and Aubrey Turner and husband Randall Weatherman of Statesville; 4 great grandchildren, 8 step-great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at Neill's Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Turner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:30 P.M. –3:00 P.M. At Neill's Creek Baptist Church.
