Cathy Elaine Bertrand, 65, of Hope Mills, NC, went to join the angels on Friday, April 30, 2021.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 5th from 6:00-8:00PM at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home and Crematory.  A graveside service is to be held on Thursday, May 6th at 2:00PM at Harnett Memorial Park.

Cathy touched the heart of everyone she met and never met a stranger.  She was loved by all that knew her. She was a charitable person that gave of her time and talents.  She lived everyday to make people happy, especially when she became Candy the Clown. She enjoyed life and loved her animals.

She is survived by her significant other of 36 years, Sidney McDaniel; her son, Timothy McQueen (Jess) of South Carolina; her daughters, Donna Bradley of New York and Sabrina Wrinkle (Jerry) of Texas; sisters, Teresa Norris (Nathan) and Michelle Allain (Chris); brother, Mark Everette; and 11 grandchildren.

Cathy is predeceased by her parents, Daniel and Jennie Everette; brother, David Everette and granddaughter, Melissa Stewart.

In accordance with current North Carolina COVID-19 guidelines, the funeral home requests that everyone in attendance practice social distancing and wear a face covering.
