Mrs. Carolyn Brown Rambeaut, 77, of Broadway passed away Thursday, August 25, 2016 at her home. She was born in Oxford, NC, the daughter of the late Eugene F. and Hazel J. Brown. Carolyn graduated from Benhaven High School in 1957. She worked for Cornell-Dubilier Capacitors in Sanford for over 20 years. Carolyn also worked as a cafeteria employee for the Harnett County Schools System. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Messer and husband, Glenn Rambeaut.

Carolyn is survived by a daughter, Kathy Norman and husband, Ed of Sanford, daughter, Tammy Jones and husband, Chris of Grimesland, NC; 4 grandchildren, Mitch Norman, Ashley Jones, Natalee Honeycutt and Kristen Jones; 3 great-grandchildren, Rhett Norman, Claire Norman and Charlie Norman; brother, Gerald Brown and wife, Sandy, sister, Janet Johnson and husband, Larry, brother, Elliott Brown and wife, LaNell, brother, Stanley Brown and wife, Gail, brother, Dwight Brown and wife, Carol Ann, brother, David Brown and wife, Joy; several loving nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, August 28, 2016 at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Chapel in Lillington with Rev. Mitch Norman officiating. Burial will follow in Harnett Memorial Park in Lillington. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 1:00-3:00 PM.
