Obituary

Mr. Carl "Leo" Kelly, 81, of Linden died Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at his home. He was born in Harnett County, the son of the late Lacy Chalmers and Donnie Holder Kelly. Mr. Kelly owned and operated Kelly Oil Service and Linden Oil Service for over 40 years. He was a former Mayor of the Town of Linden. Mr. Kelly was a member of Friendship Baptist Church for 54 years where he served as a deacon. He was a US Army veteran. Mr. Kelly was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan K. Hartman of Linden and sister, Barbara Jean Adkison, 2 half-brothers, Irenous and Chalmers Kelly and a half-sister, Eunice Brown.

Funeral service will be conducted 3:00 pm Friday, April 22, 2011 at Friendship Baptist Church, Bunnlevel with Rev. Paul Fowler and Rev. Dan Deaton officiating. Burial will be in the Bunnlevel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Friendship Baptist Church, PO Box 120, Bunnlevel, NC 28323.

Mr. Kelly is survived by his wife, Delilah S. Kelly of the home; Daughter- Carol K. Bain and husband Reggie of Bunnlevel; 2 Sons- Carl Kelly and wife Sue of Fayetteville and Rodney Hartman and wife Karen of Fayetteville. 9 grandchildren- Jason Kelly, Amy Nicole Kelly, Stephanie Robbins and husband Johnathan, Emily Hartman, Matthew Bain, Johnny Haney and wife Kristen, June DuPue and husband Shayne, Haley Strickland, Jake Strickland. 5 great-grandchildren. Mother-in-law- Etta Mae Strickland of the home. 3 Sisters- Aline Kelly of Lillington, Louise K. Rahilly of Fayetteville, Frances Kelly of Lillington. Half-sister- Ausilee Spainhour of Mamers.

The family will be using Ann's Florist 910 893 9192Funeral service will be conducted 3:00 pm Friday, April 22, 2011 at Friendship Baptist Church, Bunnlevel with Rev. Paul Fowler and Rev.
