Mrs. Flora Candace "Candy" Rogers Singleton, age 64 of Lillington, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 29, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Tommie Hubert and Lida Mae Rogers. A native of Princeton, NC she worked as a real estate agent with Century 21 in Goldsboro and later with ReMax Signature Home Builders of Dunn. She was also a Human Resource Director with Computer Stores Northwest in Corvallis, Oregon. She was a faithful follower of Christ and a member of the Church of Christ in Lillington.
The family will receive friends Sunday, December 1, 2013 from 12:00-3:00 pm at her home, 1203 S. 9th Street, Lillington.
A graveside service will be conducted 4:00 pm Sunday at the Bizzell Grove Church Memorial Gardens in Princeton, NC with Brother Reuben Jackson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any of the following organizations. Susan G. Mrs. Singleton is survived by her husband, Carl Wade Singleton; Daughter, Mitzi Cherie Cox of Benton, Arkansas; Son, Christopher R. Cox and wife Sharon Renee of Goldsboro; Granddaughter, Alexis Brie Cox; Sister, LaRue R. Tart and husband John of Grantham; Brothers, Donnie E. Rogers and wife Gwen of Princeton; Bennie E. Rogers and wife Betty of Wilson; Will H. Rogers and wife Sherry of Goldsboro; Step daughters, Sheri L. Dodd and husband Gary; Vivian I. Ford and husband Brian; Deanna H. Morris and husband Bret; Nancy E. Preuit and husband Michael; Step grandchildren, Brandon, Courtney, Randi, Sarah, Jaden; Step Great grandchildren, Iseabel and Nathaniel; and Many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Singleton was preceded in death by her step-grandson, Nathan Ford.
