Calvin Ashworth, 75 of Lillington passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Central Harnett Hospital.

Calvin was born April 8, 1940 in Harnett Co. to the late Ozie and Maie Vaughn Ashworth. Calvin was preceded in death by a son, Junior Ashworth.

Calvin was a retired Electrician from the Civil Services at Ft. Bragg. He was a member of the Masons and Shriners Clubs. He liked NASCAR, collecting knives and cars. He loved to fix things and work on motors. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a good person and friends to everyone.

A memorial services will be held 6:00 P.M. Friday, May 29, 2015 at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marty Mason Officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.

Calvin is survived by his wife of 55 years, Betty Ashworth of Lillington; a daughter, Vivian Pryor and husband Rusty of Buies Creek; a brother, Robert Ray Ashworth of Angier; 4 grandchildren, Jamey Gilbert, Julia Gilbert, Dylan Pryor and Lauren Pryor; 4 great grandchildren, Keygan Gilbert, AJ Galvan, Lori Pryor and Dominic Pryor.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital 2900 N. Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607, or any area Hospice.
