Obituary

Mrs. Brenda Nance Hogue, 64, of Lillington went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at UNC Hospital-Chapel Hill. She was born in Durham County; the daughter of the late Claude and Connie Gladden. In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her brother, Eddie Nance and wife, Debbie.

Brenda was an active member of Antioch Baptist Church, where she found great joy working with the children and youth. Brenda loved spending time at the beach and sharing meals with family and friends. She had a passion for collecting Hallmark ornaments and dolls, and she cherished the many adventures she shared with her dear friend, JoJo. Whether she was working on a puzzle or planning her next outing, Brenda was always a light in the room-her laughter, kindness, and joyful spirit touched everyone around her.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Lyle Hogue of the home; daughter, Anna Hogue of the home; brother, David Nance (Charla) of Sanford, NC; nephew, Christopher Nance (Mary), two nieces, Jennifer Ashley (Jacob) and Rebecca Manning (Jarrett); great niece, Emma Nance; 2 great nephews, Joshua and Jase Ashley.

The family will receive friends from 10:30-11:45 AM Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Antioch Baptist Church in Mamers. A Celebration of Life will follow at 12:00 PM in the church with Pastor Todd Moore and Pastor Greg Little officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Antioch Baptist Church for children and youth programs, P.O. Box 525, Mamers, NC 27552.
