Mr. Bobby S. Wester, 73, of Lillington died Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Wake Medical Center of Raleigh. He was born in Harnett County, the son of the late B.W. and Ollie Stewart Wester. In his early twenties, he served in the US Army National Guard Reserve. Bobby served Greyhound Lines for 30 years where he safely transported over one million passengers to their destinations. During his career, he won numerous safe driving awards. Prior to retirement, Bobby trained and mentored new drivers. After retirement, he enjoyed working at Campbell University in campus security. His favorite pastimes were Nascar racing, camping at the beach, and watching football on Sunday afternoons. Bobby was a loving husband, father and grandfather who cherished spending time with his family.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday October 10, 2012 at Cape Fear Presbyterian Church in Lillington with Rev. Roger Horne officiating. Burial will be in Harnett Memorial Park.The family will receive friends at O'Quinn-Peebles Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 PM.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 54 years, Faye Nordan Wester of the home; son, Jeff Wester and wife Darlene of Lillington; son, Steve Wester and wife Sandra of Apex and son, Randy Wester of Lillington; three grandchildren, Cody Wester, Gabrielle Wester and Caleb Wester; brother, James Wester and wife Esther of Lillington; brother, John Wester and wife Susan of Lillington.
