Bobby G. Johnson, 76 of Lillington passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at the William Dunlap Center in Raleigh.

Bobby was born in Johnston Co. to the late James and Ethel Johnson. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Wilson.

Bobby loved taking trips to the mountains and the beach. He enjoyed working on lawn mowers and woodworking.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 21 years, Ruby F. Johnson; 4 daughters, Barbara Jean Johnson of Oklahoma, Julie J. Mixon and husband William of Washington NC, Sharon J. Sholder and husband Bryan of Lillington, and Shelia J. Gifford and husband Jim of Lillington; 4 sons, Bobby Joe Johnson of Oklahoma, C. Michael Johnson of Washington, Kenneth R. Johnson and wife Jean of Kernersville, and Randy C. Johnson and wife Melanie of Lillington; 2 sisters, Barbara Miller and husband Herbert of Angier, and Janet Parish of Johnston Co.; 12 grand children and 7 great grand children.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 28, 2014 at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home with pastor Tim Eyring officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at the funeral home and other times at the home. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery.
