Bobby Ray Ashworth, 86, of Lillington, passed away, Saturday, March 23, 2024 at his home in Lillington, NC.

Bobby was born April 20 1937 in Harnett County, NC to the late Ozie and Eulla Maie Vaughn Ashworth.   He was a veteran of the U.S. Army as a tank commander during the Korean War.  Bobby enjoyed the outdoors and fishing with family and friends.  He was a free spirit and met friends wherever he traveled.  Bobby was a frequent morning guest of Angier McDonald's, Bojangles of Lillington, and the Triangle Waffle House in Dunn.

He was preceded in death by his girlfriend, Julie Parrish; brother, Calvin Ashworth; nephew, Calvin Ashworth, Jr.

Bobby is survived by his niece, Vivian Ashworth and husband, Rusty of Buies Creek, NC; great nephews, Dylan Pryor and wife, Cassie and their children, Lori and Dominic of Southport, NC, and Jamey Gilbert and his daughter, Keygan of Coats, NC; great nieces, Julia Galvan and husband, Andre and their son, A.J. Galvan of Coats, NC; Lauren Pryor of Lillington, NC.

A private celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
