Mr. Billy Ellis, 80, of Bunnlevel passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015 at his home. He was born in Harnett County, the son of the late Larry Junion and Mary Margaret Butler Ellis. Billy was a retired a tobacco farmer who loved his livestock. He was a member of Overhills Community Baptist Church in Linden. Billy was preceded in death by wife, Linda Marie Ellis, son, William David Ellis, 3 brothers and a sister.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Overhills Community Baptist Church with Rev. Roy McLamb and Rev. Jimmy Peele officiating. Burial will follow in Union United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM and other times at the home.

Billy is survived by his wife, Evelyn M. Chambers Ellis of the home, son, Jerry Elllis and wife Nadine of Sanford, son, John Ellis and wife Joanie of Lillington, daughter, Margaret Faircloth and husband Odis of Broadway, 8 grandchildren and a great-grandson, step-daughters, Anna Peele and husband Jimmy of Angier, Darlene Starling and husband Robert of Bunnlevel, Wanda Wood and husband Anthony of Mamers, 7 step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
