Mr. Bill Vernon Barbour, age 87, of Bunnlevel died Friday, August 20, 2010 at Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital in Dunn. He was born in Harnett County, the son of the late Randall and Cora Tart Barbour. Bill was retired from civil service at Ft. Bragg where he worked for the transportation motor pool. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Bunnlevel. Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Glenn Barbour and grandson, Raymond Barry Barbour.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, August 22 at 2:00 PM at Westview Memorial Gardens in Lillington. The Rev. Paul Fowler will preside.

The family will receive friends Sunday, August 22 at O'Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home from 12:00-1:45 PM.

Survivors include his wife, Reba Poole Barbour of Bunnlevel; son, Rex Barbour of Bunnlevel; grandsons, Robert G. Barbour, Jr. of Lillington and Justin Barbour of Fayetteville; a brother, Doyle Barbour of Coats; sisters, Justine Morris of Benson, Blanche Matthews of Angier and Jean Turnage of Erwin.
