Betty Prince Johnson, 72 of Fuquay-Varina passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family.

Betty was born November 22, 1941 in Wake Co. to the late Lenzie Gould and Annie Vada Beasley Prince. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Ward Johnson; a son, Timothy Wade Johnson.

Betty was a member of Kipling United Methodist Church. She loved going to church events and Bible study. She loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren. She loved canning and gardening.

Betty is survived by 3 children, Teresa Randall and husband Jay, William Johnson and wife Sherry and Deborah Stuart and husband Bill all of Fuquay-Varina; a sister, Henrietta Ragan and husband Fred of Fuquay-Varina, 7 grandchildren, Courtney Horton, Sara Cotten, Jacob Randall, Renee Green, Brandon Johnson, Noah and Hannah Stuart.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Kipling United Methodist Church with Rev. Melinda Ivey officiating. Burial will follow at Harnett Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home.
