Mrs. Bertha S. Bradley, 94, of Lillington peacefully went to be with her Lord on October 3, 2014 at the home of her daughter surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Hal Bradley, parents, Will and Beulah Simmons, 3 brothers, Lamar, Ernest and W.T. Simmons and a sister, Louise Murray.

Her life was filled with helping others and volunteering for several organizations. She was always on call to give a helping hand. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, sewing, lamp shade making, making baskets and playing bridge. Bertha's life was dedicated to helping others and serving the Lord.

She leaves a daughter, Jerry Biggs, granddaughter, Michele and 2 grandsons, Michael and Alex all of Fredericksburg, VA, many wonderful nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, November 2, 2014 at Lillington Baptist Church with Dr. John Rogers officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00-3:00 PM. A private burial will be held at Harnett Memorial Park.
