Mr. Bert Junior Dew, 65, of Lillington passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015. He was born in Tarboro, NC, the son of the late Bert Odis Dew, Sr. and Mary Ellen Dew. Bert worked with Merita Bread Company for over 20 years. He was an avid dirt track racing fan and enjoyed spending time with his racing buddies. Bert was a veteran of the US Army. He loved his three dogs, Wolfman, Star and Lady. Bert was preceded in death by his son, Bert Dew III.

Funeral service will be 3:00 PM Saturday, November 28, 2015 at OQuinn-Peebles-Phillips Chapel in Lillington with Rev. Ed. Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Harnett Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday 2:00 PM-3:00 PM and other times at the home.

Bert is survived by his wife, Jenny Arnold-Dew of the home; mother, Mary Ellen Dew of Tarboro; 3 daughters, Rainy Dew of Clayton, Karen Mattocks and husband Ernest of Clayton, Latoyia Arnold and husband Ryen Cornett of Sarasota, FL; grandchildren, Sabrina, Jasmine, Amber, Bert IV, Devon, Alexis and Ernest, Jr.; great-granddaughter, Zoey; sister, Brenda Roberson of Greenville, brothers, Ricky Dew of Nashville, NC, William Dew of Raleigh; brothers-in-law, Frankie Arnold and wife Sharon of Lillington, Harold Arnold and wife Bonnie of Lillington; several nieces and nephews.
