Mr. Bennie Pollock, 63, of Lillington passed away Thursday, February 27, 2020 in Gainesville, FL. He was born in Valdosta, GA, the son of the late Melvin Crawford Pollock and Betty Whitaker Pollock. Bennie was also preceded in death by his brother, Eddie Pollock. He was a teacher and coach in Harnett County for 40 years. Bennie enjoyed coaching all sports but his love was basketball. He was an active member, Deacon and Sunday school teacher at Pleasant Union Christian Church. Bennie was an avid Wolfpack fan. He enjoyed gardening and sharing the fruits of his labor with the community.

Bennie is survived by his wife, Beverly Hardee Pollock of the home; daughter, Catherine Pollock Griffin and husband Sloan of Broadway; son, Benjamin Pollock of Fuquay-Varina; 2 grandsons, Ayden Griffin and Mack Griffin; mother, Betty Whitaker Pollock of Angier; sister, Gloria Pollock; mother-in-law, Hilda Hardee of Lillington; many nieces and nephews who loved Uncle Bennie.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM Monday, March 2, 2020 at Pleasant Union Christian Church in Lillington with Dr. Greg Lawson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends after the service in the church sanctuary.
