Mrs. Annie Lou Autry Avery, 71, of Sunset Harbor, formerly of Coats, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2018.
She was born in Lee Co. on December 19, 1946 to the late Halford and Eunice Autry.  Annie worked as a cosmetologist for over 20 years.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 2 pm in O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Tuttle presiding. The burial will follow at Westview Cemetery in Lillington.
Annie is survived by her sister, Nellie Autry Mozingo of Sunset Harbor; aunt, Dollie B. Mason of Broadway; step-daughter, Yvonne A. Blackman; two step-sons, Tommy Avery Jr. and Michael Avery; 8 step-grandchildren; and 9 step great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 to 2 pm at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Red Cross for Hurricane Florence Relief or to Sunset Harbor First Baptist Church.
