Anita Whitley, 75, of Coats, NC passed away Sunday, October 21, 2018.

Anita worked in child care for 30 years at Stokes Daycare (Memorial Baptist Church).  She loved to garden and play piano; was a wonderful baker and cook; and an avid reader.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at 3 pm at Memorial Baptist Church in Buies Creek.  The burial will follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens in Angier.  The family will have a viewing prior to the service on Saturday, from 1 to 2 pm at the church; followed by a visitation from 2 to 3 in the church's Fellowship Hall.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents, Eusebio and Susana M. Medel.

She is survived by her three sisters, Virginia Stern of Fuquay-Varina, Ofelia Hoyle of Willow Springs, and Luz Mendoza of New Jersey.
