Mr. Andy Collins, 82 of Lillington died Wednesday, July 27, 2011. A native of Harnett County, he was the son of the late Will and Mary Smith Collins and was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Jane Patterson Collins. Mr. Collins was a retired veteran from the United States Army, receiving the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star for his valor in combat.

Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 am Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Antioch Baptist Church, Mamers with Rev. Dan Deaton and Rev. Martin Groover officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 am prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.

Mr. Collins is survived by a daughter, Wanda Jane Collins of Micro; Brothers, Rev. L.B. Collins of Benson and Edward Collins, Sr. of Fuquay-Varina. Sister, Faye Collins of Cary.
