Alvin Lee Brown, 75 of Lillington died peacefully in his sleep on Monday, March 14, 2011. A native of Harnett County, he was the son of the late Alvert and Geraldine Blanchard Brown. He was preceded in death by brothers, Caviness Brown and Clarence Brown.


Graveside service will be held Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 11:00 am in the Summerville Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Rev. Harold Stone will officiate.

Visitation will be at O'Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 pm

Survivors include 3 daughters: Rhonda Rogers and husband Bryan of Angier, Kim Thomas and husband Bruce of Broadway, Alecia Adams and husband Chad of Sanford; 1 son Scott Brown of Raleigh; 2 grandsons Dustin Rogers and Robert Thomas; 4 brothers: William Brown of Lillington, Cecil Brown of Broadway, Leonard Brown of Benson, James Brown of Broadway; 4 sisters: Lida Buchanan of Broadway, Janet Wheeler and Ruby Baker both of Kipling, Evelyn Smith Taylor of Willow Springs, Deloris Salmon of Broadway
