Alton McKoy "Mack" Burgess, 90 of Broadway passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Central Carolina Hospital.

Mack is a lifelong resident of Harnett Co. Born to the late Alton Cleveland Burgess and Margie McKoy.

Mack was a lifetime farmer and loved to fish. When he wasn't able to farm anymore he sold fishing supplies.

Mack is survived by a son, Ricky Burgess and wife Margaret of Broadway; a sister, Dora Pryor; 2 grandsons, Teddy and Richie Burgess and several great grand children.

Funeral Services will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday May 17, 2014 at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Summerville Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Friday, May 16, 2014 at the funeral home.
