Mr. Alonzo F. Johnson, 79, of Linden passed away Friday, November 20, 2015 at his home. He was born in Harnett County, the son of the late Hal Beecher and Alma Watkins Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He owned and operated the TV Service Center and later Als TV Repair in Fayetteville for over 40 years. Mr. Johnson was an active member and deacon of Colliers Chapel Baptist Church in Linden. He enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family. Mr. Johnson will also be remembered for his service to the Linden community and his many customers. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Barbara K. Johnson and a brother, H.B. Johnson.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Colliers Chapel Community Church in Linden with Pastor Johnny L. Haney officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at OQuinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM and other times at his home.

Mr. Johnson is survived by a son, David P. Johnson and wife Susan of Hope Mills, daughter, Barbara Ann Martinez and husband Marty of the home, son, Jeff Johnson and wife Tina of Raeford; 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Dolan Johnson, sister, Annie Lee Sox, brother, Gattis Johnson, sister, Jean McGehee, sister, Katherine Holder.
