Mrs. Allison Kaye Upchurch Smith, 44, of Lillington passed away Monday, September 14, 2015 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill. Allison was born in Cumberland County, the daughter of Durward and Faye Mason Upchurch. She was a graduate of Western Harnett High School Class of 1989 and Central Carolina Community College. Allison worked as a Registered Nurse with Central Carolina Hospital and Harnett County Health Department. She was a life-long member of Spring Hill United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and Youth leader. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends. Allison will be remembered as a devoted wife and a compassionate and loving mother. She was loved by all that knew her and were touched by her kindness.

A memorial service will be 4:30 PM, Friday, September 18, 2015 at Spring Hill United Methodist Church with Dr. Jerome Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall after the service and other times at the home.

Allison is survived by her husband of 17 years, Bradley Smith of the home; daughter, Logan Elizabeth Smith; son, Connor Bradley Smith both of the home; step-son, Ryan Smith of Sanford; grandson, Jonathan Lee Smith of Sanford; parents, Durward and Faye Upchurch of Lillington; sister, Angie Upchurch Jordan of Lillington; 2 nephews, Garrett Kevin Jordan and Evan Wade Jordan both of Lillington; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family would like to especially thank Allison's caregivers, Kristye Cummings, Beverly Patterson, Karen Thomas, Charlene Harrington and Bertha Smith.
