Obituary

Alice R. Taylor, 67 of Lillington, died Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital in Dunn.

A native of Harnett County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Vira Jarman Ragan. Alice retired from Moen, Inc. in Sanford after 27 years of faithful service.

A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, Nov. 27 at 11:00 am at Antioch Baptist Church in Mamers, led by the Rev. Martin Groover and Rev. Robbie O'Quinn. Burial will follow at the Summerville Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at O'Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home on Friday from 6:00-8:00 pm, and other times at the home of Jonathan and Jessica Taylor. Florists serving the family are Floral Designs by Eddie (1-800-476-2595) and Ted's Florist (919-775-7144).

Memorials may be made to a church or charity of one's choice.

Survivors include her husband, Larry "Bill" Taylor; sons, Larry Craig Taylor and wife Amy of Broadway, David Randall Taylor and wife Beth of Broadway, Marty Lynn Taylor and wife Barbie of Mamers and Jonathan Paul Taylor and wife Jessica of Mamers; brothers, Ray Ragan of Sanford and Kenny Ragan of Lillington; sister, Betty R. Buchanan of Lillington; nine grandchildren, Cheryl Lynn Burnette, Lauren McKenzie, Lauren Stone, Lauren Taylor, Casey Taylor, Ragan Taylor, Zach Taylor, John Paul Taylor, and Shelby Taylor; and two great-grandchildren, Lilly Ann Burnette and Jackson Burnette.
