Ms. Alice Faye Dickens, 63, of Broadway passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Tara Plantation in Carthage. She was born in Lee County, the daughter of the late William Winfield and Nellie Rose McCauley Dickens. Ms. Dickens was a Real Estate agent in Sanford and surrounding areas for many years. She enjoyed traveling to the mountains and beaches of North Carolina. Ms. Dickens also enjoyed social gatherings with her high school classmates and friends.

Funeral service will be 12:00 Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Cool Springs United Methodist Church in Broadway with Rev. Ramon Atkins and Rev. Tom Welborn officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall Tuesday from 11:00-12:00.

She is survived by sons, Don Batten and wife Rhonda of Bear Creek and Jonathan Batten of Sanford, 2 granddaughters, Hanna and Lindsey Batten, nieces and nephews.
