Mr. Albert "Al" Thomas Swink, Sr., 83, of Angier passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Central Harnett Hospital in Lillington.

He was born July 23, 1930 in Waynesboro, VA. After retiring from the Government Printing Office with 30 years of service, Al spent his time woodworking, quilting, and spending time with his family and his beloved friend Betty Pollock.

Al was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lee Purnell Swink and a son, Albert Thomas Swink, Jr.

Memorial service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Pleasant Union Christian Church with Pastor Cary Snelling officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home in Lillington.

Al is survived by daughter, Amy Birkner and husband Gregg of Riverton, Utah, son, Mark Swink and wife, Emy of Fuquay-Varina, 8 grandchildren, Justin, Matthew, Zachary, Elizabeth, Max, Alex, Chelsea and Arianna and special friend, Betty Pollock of Angier.
