Mrs. Ada Pearl Wood Stone, 86, of Lillington passed away Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Green Leaf Care Center. She was born in Harnett County, the daughter of the late A.W. and Maggie Wood. Ada Pearl was a member of Lillington Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir. She retired from the NC State Bureau of Investigation. Ada Pearl also worked with local banks and county government. She loved to paint, play bridge and golf. Ada Pearl loved to cook and spend time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen B. Stone; brothers, Luen, Zola, Ellis and T.T. Wood; sisters, Elizabeth Wood Mooney and Edith Wood Green.

Ada Pearl is survived by a son, Steven A. Stone of Lillington, daughter, Lisa Stone Barnhill and granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Barnhill both of Broadway.

A funeral service will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Lillington Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dawn Stoker officiating. Burial will follow in Harnett Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:00-1:00 PM in the church fellowship hall.
