Mrs. Teresa Sue Byrd Campbell, 62, of Lillington passed away Sunday October 21, 2018 at her home. She was born in Harnett County, the daughter of the late Marion Edward and Mary Ann O’Quinn Roberson. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her son, Logan Campbell and brother, Tracy Byrd.
Sue attended Lillington High School where she was a member of the basketball and track teams. She graduated from Central Carolina Community College with a degree in Cosmetology. Sue began her cosmetology career primarily renting booths in the Lillington area and in 1991 opened her own business, Reflections Salon. As a lover of sports and a mother of four, she spent a great deal of time on the sidelines at baseball, softball, volleyball, swimming, soccer and cheerleading. She even pulled out an old glove to play softball with her oldest daughter in the local church softball league. Throughout her life, she continued to be supportive of sports through her grandchildren. Sue was involved in disaster relief efforts with Mt. Ariel UMC which led her to pursue a certificate in Emergency Management from UNC– Chapel Hill. She had a passion for using her gifts and talents to empower and inspire people. Some of her greatest joys was spending time outdoors, working in her garden and flower beds. No matter where she was or what she was doing, it was always done in full “glam”.
Sue is survived by her mother, Mary Ann Roberson; sisters, Sandy Jones and Gloria Herring; daughters, Dawn Naylor Patterson (Reggie) and Cierra Campbell; son, Randy Naylor (Melissa); grandchildren, Chandler, Savannah and Presley Patterson; Jacob, Jasmine, Genesis and Logan Naylor.
