Mrs. Patricia “Patty” Horton Jones, 92, of Bunnlevel, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018.

Patty was born September 15, 1925 in Harnett County to the late Joseph Ernest and Azilee Byrd Horton. She was a lifelong member of Friendship Baptist Church, where she also was the pianist for over 60 years.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 4 pm in O’Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dan Deaton presiding. The burial will be private.

Patty was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Fleming Jones; and daughter, Judy Pearce.

She is survived by her child, Cathy Jo Robbins and husband Fred of Raleigh; her grandson Patrick Fleming Bethune and wife Alesia of Garner; 3 step-grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Martha Byrd of Erwin and Lillie Lloyd of Chapel Hill.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday from 3 pm to 4 pm at O’Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home.

The family says that flowers are welcome.
