Mary Jane Veangare McLucas

Mrs. Mary Jane Veangare McLucas, 30, of Lumberton passed away September 5, 2019 at Southeastern  Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. She was born in Wake County, the daughter of Pry Veangare and Amy Collins. Mary was a wonderful mother, daughter and sister. She had a passion for music and loved her friends dearly. Mary was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Mary Collins.

Mary is survived by her father, Pry Veangare; mother, Amy Collins; daughter, Nathalia Matthews; 2 sons, Lysavana McLucas and Julian Overton; brother, Joshua Veangare; 3 sisters, Sabrin Ismail, Bosina Ismail and Layla Ismail; paternal grandparents, Donald and Charee Blanchard; maternal grandfather, Bobby Collins.

A funeral service will be held at 5:00 PM Monday September 9, 2019 at O’Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Chapel in Lillington. The family will receive friends Monday from 3:00-4:45 PM at the funeral home.
