Carl Byrd Obituary
Mr. Carl Ray Byrd, 70, of Lillington, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2019.
Carl was born November 13, 1948 in Mamers, NC. He worked in the grocery industry for most of his life. He was also a proud member of the NC National Guard.
He loved and held his family at the center of his heart and looks forward to seeing them in Heaven where he is making sure the lawn is looking right when they get there.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at 4 pm at Erwin Memorial Park.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hoyle and Emma Byrd; sisters, Sue Byrd Page and Patricia Elaine Byrd; and a niece, Bobbie Sue Page.
Carl is survived by his wife, June Holmes Byrd; two daughters, Angela and Russell Wilson, and Michelle Byrd; two sons, Christopher and Lori Evans and Robert and Vanessa Angelo; grandchildren, Christopher Angelo (Taylor), Mark Angelo (Kaitlin), Brenna Angelo (Aki), Michael Angelo, Xopher Evans, Damian Evans, Devon Church, Victoria Wilson, Jacob Wilson, Averianna Wilson, Carla Odum (William), and Patrick Phillips; niece, Sherry Page Deal; nephew, Christopher Page; and brother-in-law, Sterling Holmes.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:30 pm at O’Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home in Lillington.
