Buddy Ray Norris

Mr. Buddie Ray Norris, 56, of Lillington passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born in Harnett County, the son of the late Woodrow and Edna Matthews Norris. Buddie graduated from Harnett Central High School in 1980. He worked as real estate appraiser for over 20 years. Buddie was a devoted father, brother and friend. He was also preceded in death by a nephew, Stevie Norris.

Buddie is survived by 2 children, Max Norris and Savannah Norris of the home; mother of the children, Nicole Norris Main of Lillington; 3 brothers, Woodrow Norris, Jr. and wife Dyanne of Lillington, Monroe Norris and wife Sheila of Winston-Salem, Johnnie Mack Norris and wife Angie of Fuquay-Varina; sister, Carolyn McPherson and husband Alex “Pete” of Lillington; niece, Jennifer Setzer, nephews, James McPherson, Chris Norris, Eric Norris, Ben Norris and Casey Norris; several great-nieces and great-nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday September 23, 2018 at O’Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Chapel with Rev. Daniel Selman officiating. Burial will follow in Harnett Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 2:00-3:00 PM and other times at the home of Carolyn and Pete McPherson.
