Betty Rose Latta

Ms. Betty Rose Latta, 68, of Bunnlevel, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, February 3, 2019.

Betty Rose was born May 5, 1950 in Harnett County to the late James and Gladys Latta.  She was a graduate of Lillington High School and attended Campbell College.  Betty Rose lived in Sanford for many years and worked on the ADA Committee; was an elder at Jonesboro Presbyterian Church; and was active with the local Republican Party before moving back to Bunnlevel in 2005. 

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at 11 am at Lillington Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, James “Jimmy” Latta.

Betty is survived by son, James Tetterton of Holly Springs; daughter, Julia Byrd and son-in-law, Richard Byrd Jr., of Bunnlevel; four grandchildren, Gracie Byrd, Cole Tetterton, Lydia Tetterton, and Miles Tetterton; three siblings, Jerry Latta and wife Shelia of Bunnlevel, Gloria Latta of Wilmington and Christopher Latta and wife Tracy of Holden Beach; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 5, 2019, from 5 to 7 pm at Jerry’s home, 1395 Thompson Road, Bunnlevel NC 28323.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made Baptist Children’s Home, 204 Idol St, Thomasville, NC 27360 and designate to Odum Home in Pembroke.
