Mrs. Beatrice Parker Bell, 99, of Lillington passed away Friday, December 14, 2018 at her home. She was born in Harnett County, the daughter of the late William Henry and Maggie Brown Parker. Beatrice was a lifelong member of Mt. Ariel United Methodist Church. She served as a Sunday school teacher and was involved in many other activities at the church. Beatrice was well known to many as an excellent cook, seamstress and a good friend. Beatrice’s greatest legacy was the love she had for her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Bell and daughter, Linda Newton.
Beatrice is survived by a daughter, Janet Campbell of the home; son-in-law, Mike Newton of Lillington; 3 grandchildren, Lori Edwards and husband Kenneth, Kelli Morrison and husband Gary, Bryan Newton and wife Barbara; 5 great-grandchildren, Ross, Lindsey, Mackenzie, Macy and Hunter.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, December 16, 2018 at O’Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Chapel with Rev. Mike Sadtler officiating. Burial will follow in Harnett Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 2:00-3:00 PM.
