Clifford "Jack" WadeMarch 13, 1921 - December 16, 2012
Mr. Clifford L. “Jack” Wade, 91 of Lillington died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012 at E. Carlton Powell Hospice Center in Lillington. A native of Harnett County, Jack was the son of the late Malcolm Bright and Lula Mae Morrison Wade. He was preceded in death by his wife, Effie Spivey Wade and a daughter, Phyllis
Gwartney. Jack was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the European Theater and was awarded the Bronze Star for Valor. Following his service in the Armed Services, he farmed and worked with the NC Department of Transportation, retiring after 20 years of service.
Funeral service will be conducted 3:00 pm Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012 Spring Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Terry Williams officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesdsay at O’Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home, other times at the home of Ralph and Sylvia Bellflower.

Mr. Wade is survived by his daughters: Sylvia Bellflower and husband Ralph of Lillington; Brenda Wade of Lillington. Son, Billy Wade and wife Renee of Angier. Sister, Gladys Henderson of Oxford. 7 grandchildren: Frankie Bellflower, Donna Myatt, Kenny and Michael Vanderpool, Donald Gwartney, Aaron and Allison Wade. 8 Great grandchildren
